WHY NWK AFTERSCHOOL CARE?
The latest statistics and studies place our nation as a leader in the obesity and the illnesses caused by obesity. 16 percent of children and teenagers in the US are overweight and studies done by the center for disease control show over 25 percent of Texans are overweight. The key to changing this detrimental trend starts with our children and educating them on the benefits of exercise, physical activity, and nutrition. Northwest not only gives your chid a safe place to stay while you finish the work day, NWK provides your child with structured physical activities that other after school care programs are not able to offer.
NWK'S FACILITY
Northwest Kids afterschool care is a state licensed childcare facility. Located at our gymnastics and cheerleading facility at 12212 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. The program currently provides afterschool daycare for children in the Calallen Independent School District. The facility is an 8,000 square foot sports complex providing children with training and instruction in a wide variety of sports. The complex has an outdoor in ground swimming pool, outdoor basketball court, two 1600 square foot spring floors, and an inground free foam pit, climbing ropes, cargo nets, a large variety of mats and training equipment, and much more.
NWK'S AFTERSCHOOL CARE CURRICULUM
Northwest Kids Sports Complex provides children with a safe fun environment for the hours after school. The children are picked up from their school in the NWK bus and brought back to the gym where they have an afternoon snack, and are then divided into assigned groups for an afternoon of active sports oriented fun. Each day the children will participate in several different activities, such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, karaoke, taebo, gymnastics, cheerleading, and more. During the days rotation the children will have an opportunity to study and do homework as needed.

NWK picks up everyday that Calallen ISD has school including early release.
