THE FIRST STEPS IN EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
All of us learn new lessons on a daily basis, however with preschool age children the learning process occurs minute by minute.  That is why it is important to instill a positive learning attitude early in your child's life.  Northwest Kids feels that the skills taught during these precious years of development will benefit children in their lives from elementary education through college and on.

WHY SHOULD MY SON OR DAUGHTER TAKE GYMNASTICS?
By its very definition, gymnastics is more than a sport.  At Northwest Kids Sports Complex we agree with Webster.  Gymnastics is a fantastic tool to promote the growth and development of strength, coordination, and flexibility, as well as discipline, self esteem, intellectual development and much more.  Implemented early in childhood, gymnastics builds the attributes that build great athletes in a wide range of sports.  Simply stated, gymnastics is good for all kids.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A NWK TEAM MEMBER
NWK has several avenues of mobility for a child to become a NWK team member.  The NWK staff evaluates each child in the class and developmental programs and moves them to the next level of the program when we feel the child can have a positive experience at that level.  Before any child is invited onto our team, the NWK staff will consider many factors, such as family commitment and expectations, the child's ability to maintain acceptable grades while meeting the demands of the team workout and competition schedule, the child's interaction with fellow gymnasts, and the parents' interaction with the coaches and fellow parents.

RECREATIONAL TUMBLING: a fun time for all
Tumbling is an extremely fun and effective way to develop the muscle awareness and agility children and teenagers need to be successful in competitive sports.  Schools in the Northwest area of Corpus Christi have a long history of athletic success, and Northwest Kids Sports complex has been in the community helping develop these young athletes for more than 30 years.

CHEER NORTHWEST
Cheer Northwest has been offering competitive cheerleading to the area youths for more than 15 years.  In that time, our squads have won numerous competition titles and more than 25 National and Grand National champion titles.  Cheer Northwest has the premier cheer squads in South Texas.  If competitive cheerleading is what you want, come cheer with the best at Cheer Northwest.

NWK SWIM SCHOOL: suit up for safety
Don't put off this valuable lesson in your child's life.  Swimming is an essential lesson in a child's life and should be taught at the earliest age possible. Statistics show that drowning is the second leading cause of injury related death among children under the age of 15, and a swimming pool is 14 time more likely than a motor vehicle to be involved in the death of a child age 4 and under.  As the owners of Northwest Kids Sports Complex and as parents ourselves, we urge you to please enroll your children in one of the numerous swim programs in the area.

WHY NWK AFTERSCHOOL CARE?
The latest statistics and studies place our nation as a leader in the obesity and the illnesses caused by obesity.  16 percent of children and teenagers in the US are overweight and studies done by the center for disease control show over 25 percent of Texans are overweight.  The key to changing this detrimental trend starts with our children and educating them on the benefits of exercise, physical activity, and nutrition.  Northwest not only gives your chid a safe place to stay while you finish the work day,  NWK provides your child with structured physical activities that other after school care programs are not able to offer.

NWK SUMMER CAMPS
Northwest Kids Summer Day Camps are provided to  children in kindergarten through 6th grade.  The camps are designed to keep the children active while having fun throughout the day and week.  Campers will participate in a large variety of activities such as art and crafts, karaoke, gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, taebo, basketball, volleyball, kickball, swimming, large screen movies, weekly fieldtrips, and so much more.  Camps are Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM - 6:00 NWK'S FACILITY

NWK OFFERS THE MOST FUN UNIQUE PARTIES IN THE AREA
Wether you want a party at our facilitys or on the  Cartwheels Mobile Gymnastics Bus  Northwest kids Sports Complex has some of the most fun and unique parties around.  Our parties are filled with lots of  flipping, twisting, running, bouncing, swinging, swimming, and flying fun for the kids and a no hassle party for the parents.

WHAT IS NWK'S CARTWHEELS BUS?
The CARTWHEELS TUMBLE BUS  is a fun filled gym on wheels.  The inside of the bus has been turned into a gymnastics activity center complete with soft flooring, mats, beams, slides, bars, monkey bars, a zip line and so much more.  The Cartwheels Tumble Bus travels to many of the preschools and daycares in the Corpus Christi area where we teach gymnastics classes on the bus.  Students participate in many activities from energetic stretches and warm ups to obstical courses and specialized gymnastics skills training.  This is a great way to help your child develop the coordination, agility, and motor skills that will benefit them as they mature.
